*I apologize if you've seen these pictures before, the post somehow published itself before I could add text! Whoops.
Skagway was hands down, my favorite stop on our trip. The town was like something taken from an old Western movie set, loved it. The food was amazing, and the scenery was gorgeous. We may have had the best weather Skagway's seen all year the day we were there. We also went ziplining, and our guides were hysterical. I have pictures of that on another post though.
We were in Skagway for about 9-10 hours. We spent the majority in the Rainforest ziplining, but thanks to our great guides, they showed us where to go in town to have the most fun. I think they really, really wanted to join us, but had another group after our's. So after ziplining, we went to Skagway Brew Co {are you noticing a pattern here...I've never in my life drunk this much beer!} to eat some lunch. The fried mac and cheese was the recommended menu item, unfortunately it's only on the dinner menu. Regardless, the handcut fries and burger were great.
After lunch, we ventured out into the town to see if we could find a few gifts for the girls and grandma's, but a bar playing Brown Eyed Girl caught our attention first! In we went, only to see Claudia and Matt at the bar! The bar was packed at 2 in the afternoon, and tons of fun. I think everyone on our boat knew that we'd be stuck on the ship for 50 hours before our next stop and were trying to soak everything in...at least that was our story.
After yet some more libations, it was time to head towards the boat, but not before we saw our guides again to say one last thank you. We continued our happy hour on the tri-deck, which then turned into some good memories at the Skywalker Lounge and a Michael Jackson Tribute. Fun times.
