Hot Fun in the Summertime!

Its been pretty hot here lately, yet Caroline refuses to do anything but play outside. So since it hasn't rained here recently, Daniel decided his grass needed some watering, and with Caroline being outside anyways, we should just let her play in the sprinkler.

Play she did not. She would much prefer just to play at her water table where she can control the water as opposed to running through a stream of water that sprays her in the face! Daniel tried and tried, but she's not a fan...yet! There's still time. I'm sure she'll decide to love it when I'm home alone with the two girls and she's fully dressed in play clothes, not a bathing suit. That's just how she rolls! :)

We are staying here for the holiday weekend, you can find us at the pool! I hear it's gonna be hot. Plus, I can't wait to see more of Caroline's swimming skills, the girl is actually swimming! It's amazing! Daniel took her to the pool last weekend, and said that he couldn't get over how well she swam and also mentioned that several parents kept saying, "Wow! Look at that little one go! Do you see her?" Ha! Guess those swim lessons worked!

D trying to get her to go in the sprinkler

"Um...no, no!"

We even tried with the noodle!

Much happier playing at her table

Being stubborn and refusing to look at the camera

Have a safe Memorial Day weekend! Got any big plans?

Kangazoom with Ella

Katie and I took Ella, Caroline, and Molly (who was only there to eat and sleep) to a jump house in Alpharetta called Kangazoom! We had a blast! We were lucky enough to be the only ones there, which was great. The girls had a great time jumping in all of the castles, sliding down the slides, playing games, and they even settled in to do some puzzles at the very end! After a morning of jumping, we took the girls to Chick-Fil-A, where they proceeded to play some more in their playground. Caroline barely made it out of the parking lot before wanting to fall asleep! I had to bribe her with a little playtime of "Momma's Shone" {my phone}.

We weren't even inside before they were jumping!

Jumping with Ms. Katie and Ella

Um...I don't think so!

Ella showed Caroline how to climb the ladder, C was a little scared at first which is shocking!

1-2-3...Go!

Future Softball Player?

Kangazoom has Mommy's Morning Out, Birthday Parties, and Summer Camps...the kids just have to be potty trained. We will definitely be participating in one or all of those activities soon! :)

*Sorry for the blurriness, the pictures were taken from my iphone.

A Room Fit for a Princess!

Caroline's room is finally done, at least for now! It took so long b/c we honestly didn't think we would have a crib in there so we had to do some rearranging! But, I actually like it in there now because we're able to get her used to the bed before we put her in it. Once we are able to put her in the regular bed, the crib will go back into Molly's room, and a table and chair set that was mine will go where the crib is. It's a white Jenny Lind set that my mom had re-finished just for Caroline! Jenny Lind seems to be a reoccurring theme in her room!

And if you are on twitter or follow this blog, you know by now that Caroline's crib now has a crib tent on it due to her climbing out at night. It actually doesn't look that bad, and we praise her each morning for sleeping so well in her "Princess Tent"! Crossing our fingers that things continue going well, because I'm not sure we know what to do should it become an issue.

Anyway, here are the pictures! Watch out, picture overload!

Her room looking in

From the opposite corner of the door

C's Big Girl Bed! It was brown, we painted it white, and I think its sooo cute and the perfect size!

Her crib, luckily it matches the bed. :) The bedding is actually the nursery bedding that I need to take off and put on the crib Molly's sleeping in.

Her reading corner! {That's the teacher in me} :)

Panels up close; toile and ticking, love!

Bedside table (Scroll topper on houndstooth fabric and pbk teapot lamp and shade)

Painted canvas by Katie at House of Stripes

The lamp and frame on her chest of drawers that we painted as well

I had the first page of "Sweet Caroline" framed and hung it in her nursery. Obviously it "moved" with her!

The cross hangs above her light switch as you walk out and the "C" is on her door. I found an "M" and hung it on Molly's door as well

As I was posting these pictures, I see a little someone snuck into almost all of them! You can almost play "Where's Waldo(Caroline)?"!

Molly's room is almost done, so I'll finish it up and post pictures of it soon! Most things are the same, but I had to change it up a little!

Crib Tent

Miss Caroline has crossed over to the dark side...she has started climbing out of her crib. She doesn't do it everyday, not in the morning, or even after her nap, just in the middle of the night when we won't come get her.

We aren't sure if she's waking herself up or if she hears Molly, but either way, she gets so upset that we don't come get her that she climbs our and "meets us" at her door.

This crib tent, or princess tent as it's known in our house, is the last option we have. We don't feel she that she's quite ready for the big girl bed. She is such a great sleeper and has always been that I'd like to get back there before we discuss moving beds.

We need to break this habit ASAP!...she seems to like the princess tent, don't you think?

I'll let you know how it goes! :)

Caroline's a Guppie!

Caroline is taking swim lessons, and LOVING it! My Mom takes her on Tuesdays and has a hard time getting her out of the pool when the lesson is over. I had originally signed her up for what I thought was a "Mommy and Me" class and seeing how I wasn't going to be getting into a bathing suit at 40 weeks pregnant, I asked my mom to take her. Turns out "Moms" aren't allowed in the pool with the little ones. I think we were all a bit apprehensive at first, including Caroline, but now she hardly needs Mr. Jack's help!

She loves to kick, and from what I hear she's pretty good at it! I'm sure running around the house all the time as helped strengthen those leg muscles!

The slide is also one of her favorites as well!

And then there's the float! Mom says she laughs hysterically when Jack pulls her around on this!

Our pool opens this weekend, so we cannot wait to get our water baby into the pool to show us her tricks!

Molly's One Month Check Up

We went to the ped yesterday for Molly's one month check up. I was so interested to see what she weighed and how her and Caroline compared to one another at the same point in their little lives.

At one month --

Caroline:
Weight -- 8 pounds 13 ounces
Height -- 21 inches

Molly:
Weight -- 10 pounds 2 ounces (75th percentile)
Height -- 20 1/4 inches (50th percentile)
*up 2.5 pounds from birth, but hasn't grown any in height

Side note: Caroline weight 10 pounds 8.5 ounces at 2 months!

When Dr. Pip walked in he said, "Well it sure looks like she's been eating well." Then we got a "Whoa!" when he looked at her weight. Ha! He said she looks perfect (which of course we knew)! He asked that we move her to her crib in the nursery and out of our room. He also wants us to put her down at 7 or 730 for the night and let her wake up, feed her only once at night, then (hopefully) let her wake up in the morning to begin the day. He said she'd probably wake up around 1am and then 630 or so, which I scoffed at! I figured she'd wake around 11 or 12 and then 3, which wouldn't be a good thing. Well, I guess there's a reason he's the pediatrician and not me, b/c she was a superstar! I put her down right around 715, she cried out once around 8 for 2 minutes, then we didn't hear from her until 1! I went in, changed and fed her, but her back down (awake) and she woke up at 615!! Woo hoo! I was amazed that she did exactly as he said. Granted, I'd like for her to wake up a little later, but I'll take it! We can work on that later. By 8 weeks/2 months, she doesn't need that middle of the night feeding. I have a feeling there will be some tears shed at that point, but we'll deal with that when it comes and pray it passes quickly. Maybe the 3 day rule will come into play then.

So we go back in a month, when unfortunately we'll be getting lots and lots of shots. :(

For now though, The Moment of Truth...

Molly is definitely bigger and fuller then Caroline was at this point. You can just look at them and tell! Twice this week, I've had Molly out and about and people have come up too ooh and ahh, and then when they ask how old she is, it's immediately followed by "Whoa! She's a big baby!" Poor girl, you should never tell a lady she's big! :)

Happy One Month Molly Grace!

It's that time again!!...our monthly pictures will begin! It's been over a year since I've done one of these! I can't believe it's already been a month since Molly was born. The days have gone by fast, the nights, not so much! ;)

Is that a tiny smile???

I couldn't resist! I love a pouty lip!

I'm guessing Caroline will be making an appearance in a lot of Molly's pictures!

I have a picture of Molly in the same outfit I put Caroline in for her one month, but will wait to post it after our one month appt next week. It's so fun seeing them side by side! Molly is definitely bigger then Caroline was, I can't wait to see exactly how much though!

It's also my fabulous sister in law, Christine's birthday! Happy Birthday to you! We love you!

Molly's Birth Announcement

In honor of Molly being 4 weeks today, I thought I'd share her announcement with you! My fabulously talented friend, Nina, designed it for me! I'm kind of obsessed!

Happy 4 weeks Sweet Molly...and Happy Birthday to my wonderful Father-In-Law as well!

I STILL have Easter pics to post as well as some from Caroline's swim lessons. Things have been hectic around here! ;) We have Molly's big one month appt next Tuesday. I can't wait to see how much she weighs and start taking her monthly shots. I hope to put her in the same outfits as I did Caroline to see how they compare to one another at the same point in the short little lives. Daniel and I are convinced Molly is already way bigger then Caroline was, but we'll soon see!
