A Treasured Keepsake

When I was growing up, I had a little rocker that I loved to play with. I'd rock in it myself as well "letting" all of my Cabbage Patch Kids have their turn in it. Caroline now has one of her own when she's big enough to enjoy it! My Sweet Dad has spent hours upon hours painting and repainting a "bunny" rocker that I know she will cherish as much as I cherished mine. I can't wait to see it in person, because the pictures are beautiful. It will go perfectly in her pink and green room, I just know. I can't wait to watch her rock herself and her babies in it. Hopefully this will stay a "play" chair and NOT become her timeout chair...but, I know no child of mine will EVER be in timeout!! :)

The Waiting Game

For anyone who knows me, they know that I don't like waiting for things to happen! It's not that I don't have patience, I do work with kids for a living! It's the planning you have to take out of waiting around the gets to me! I am a planner down to my core, always have been. So, we went to the doctor yesterday day, and what were told to do? Wait! The doctor said "this little girl will be coming before her due date, but we'll more than likely see you next Monday." So wait, I'll make it to Monday, but not Thursday? Huh? And then of course as we are leaving she said, "Now don't hold me to any of this!" Ahh!!

Despite this, we still did get some news about Caroline! I am still measuring "perfectly," which prompted me to ask, so how much do you think she'll weigh? haha! Doctors can't possibly like questions like this. She estimated her at a little under 7lbs right now and said she thinks she'll be around 7-7.5lbs which is perfect!! She also said we are waiting for her head to drop a "tad" more, and once it does, we'll be on our way to the hospital! So...that's what we're waiting on. Her, of course! Would a child of mine -- especially a girl, begin her life any other way?! Having everyone wait on her?! So now we wait and rest! 

Stay by your phones, you never know when Caroline will be ready to make her grand entrance and end all of this waiting!!
