Finally!...Caroline is sleeping, Daniel is feeling better, and I have a few moments to update our blog! If you haven't heard, our sweet baby came down with the flu also. She took it like a champ though. So far only one rough night, but it was not fun! Somehow she's seems to be the happiest sick baby ever, but is a bit fussier than usual (she's never fussy by the way)! Her poor little voice is hoarse, so I know her throat must hurt a little. Our pediatrician is wonderful though, and walked us through what to do with her and should I come down with this nasty flu, he's already called in my script! Let's just pray I don't get it, because as he said, "Who's Going to Take Care of You?"
So on to her updates! She is sitting up! Yay! She now weighs 17.3 lbs (75th percentile) and is 26.5 inches (50-75th percentile). She's definitely not missing many meals! She's eating more and more foods each day. Right now her favorites are still peas but also Apple/Sweet Potatoes. Level 2 foods mix a lot of fruits and veggies together, so that's been fun to see what she likes and doesn't like. We don't have too many that she doesn't like, in fact, I don't know that there are any! I haven't let her try too many this week though b/c she's been sick. We've stuck to pears, peaches, and applesauce. She also loves "Biter Biscuits." They are basically cookies for babies, but they help with them learning to hold food. I have pictures, which are hilarious! Our goal by Christmas is to get her eating Cheerios, which works on her pincher grips (picking things up with her fingers). We have our 6 month pictures on Sunday, and I can't wait! Jenna and Matt are coming into town and I will be sure to post them as soon as we have the pictures in hand. I still haven't figured out where to do them, but somewhere outside is what I'm thinking.
Hopefully everyone in our family will be back to normal this weekend, and I can continue to post more often! I will post before and afters of our kitchen later.
And just so you can see how big she's gotten!
